Museums and Galleries

Situated in the heart of Ross-on-Wye in the famous sandstone Market House of 1650, this centre offers a history of the town on panels, in photographs, by computer slide-show and in video format. Set in a former cider making factory, visitors can explore original cider champagne cellars and view cidermaking equipment, a cooper's workshop and a vat house. The Museum contains nearly 6000 artefacts and photographs, items range in date from the Neolithic period to the modern day. Museum on the Move exists to provide access to our museum collections for different communities in the county. The Bromyard and District Local History Society exists to foster interest, enjoyment, research and publication in the field of our local history. ...housed in a spectacular Victorian gothic building, the museum has been exhibiting artefacts and works of fine and decorative art connected with the local area since 1874.
