Museums and Galleries

Situated in the heart of Ross-on-Wye in the famous sandstone Market House of 1650, this centre offers a history of the town on panels, in photographs, by computer slide-show and in video format. Set in a former cider making factory, visitors can explore original cider champagne cellars and view cidermaking equipment, a cooper's workshop and a vat house. Museum on the Move exists to provide access to our museum collections for different communities in the county. The Bromyard and District Local History Society exists to foster interest, enjoyment, research and publication in the field of our local history.

The largest pottery-painting studio in Herefordshire, with over 400 items to choose from, lots of ideas to inspire you, and friendly staff to give you all the help you need. Prices from £4 fully-inclusive. We have come together as a group to offer courses in all kinds of traditional and contemporary arts and crafts. See our Little Herefordshire Cheese made traditionally by hand to the original Herefordshire recipe. Spend a day or the weekend sampling the potter’s wheel and other clay making techniques.

The follies provide fun and interest, even a bit of romance and excitement, and a tie with the long tradition of providing garden entertainment. We are an independent gallery showing some of the best contemporary British art and craft including locally sourced work from Herefordshire and its surrounding counties.

Based near Hay on Wye, Trewern is a residential outdoor activity centre, open to groups of 8 or more. Visitors are welcome and are assured of a friendly reception at our Golf Club. The privately owned golf course is situated 1 mile down stream of Hay-on-Wye over the border into England and the county of Herefordshire. The gymnasium is supervised by qualified instructors who are on hand to assist and advise. They will provide you with a full induction on all the equipment and monitor your personal progress at regular intervals. Situated 4 miles NW of the City of Hereford in beautiful Herefordshire Countryside. The walking is easy on gently rolling fairways around two lakes.
